Program Description

The Trial Opportunity Desk SMS Program delivers account notifications about requests you made and, if you choose, recurring marketing messages about newly available general clinical trial opportunities to subscribers who opt in.

Content covers research opportunity discovery, trial types, study phases, volunteer participation, screening, study visits, informed consent, and participant protections. Trial Opportunity Desk is not a research organization or healthcare provider, does not conduct trials, and does not determine eligibility.

Message Categories

Account notifications: confirmation that your inquiry was received and status updates on requests you made. Message frequency varies based on your requests.

Marketing: newly available general clinical trial opportunities. Up to 4 messages per month.

Each category requires its own separate consent. Categories are never bundled together, and text message consent is never bundled with email marketing, Terms acceptance, or partner communications.

Opt-In Method

You opt in by checking the box for a category on the contact page at https://trialopportunitydesk.com/contact or on the opportunity updates page at https://trialopportunitydesk.com/opportunities, providing a valid mobile number, and submitting the form.

No box is checked by default. Providing a mobile number alone is never treated as consent. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase, access, or use of this website or any resource on it.

Message Frequency

Account notification frequency varies based on your requests. Marketing messages are sent up to 4 times per month.

Message and Data Rates

Msg & data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier may charge for messages you send or receive.

First Message

Your first message identifies Trial Opportunity Desk, describes the category you selected, states message frequency, notes that msg & data rates may apply, includes STOP and HELP instructions, and makes clear that Trial Opportunity Desk is not a research organization or healthcare provider.

STOP Instructions

Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT at any time to cancel. After you opt out we stop sending messages for that program and send only the appropriate opt-out confirmation. We do not resume messaging unless you opt in again.
